Doris Melvin Boseman, age 94, of Pensacola, Fl passed from this world to her eternal home in the presence of The Lord Jesus Christ on August 23, 2022.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonja Parker of Florida; granddaughter, Danielle (James) Corkle of South Dakota; sister- in- law, Jean Boseman, daughter- in- law, Anita Boseman; along with beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents; her three sisters; adoring husband, Calvin Boseman, Jr for 47 years of marriage; and son, Vann Boseman.
Her life began in Elizabethtown, NC; raised in humble beginnings during The Great Depression. She attended two Baptist colleges, Campbell College with a transfer to Carson Newman, obtaining her baccalaureate degree. During this time, she served as president of the college missions women’s auxiliary, with a heart always in service to her Lord, that continued throughout her life. Prior to becoming a mother, she was secretary to the Governor of North Carolina.
She exemplified the faithful wife, loving mother and grandmother. Her selfless compassion for others, genuine friendship and quick-witted humor are traits we celebrated.
She would want you to know that belief in Jesus Christ as Lord is all that matters in life and death.
Heartfelt thank you to April, Amy and the staff of Azalea Trace along with Amy of Covenant Hospice for their compassionate care and dedication.
