Donald Weldon

Donald Winfield Weldon passed away on Sunday, February 1st, 2009. Don was a native of Charleston, South Carolina and has resided in Gulf Breeze, Florida for the past 5 years. He was a graduate of Charleston Southern University. Don and his wife Lynn lived in Fairbanks, Alaska for 28 years. While there Don owned and operated Vista Travel Agency, which was recognized as the 49th largest privately owned business in Alaska. He served three Alaskan governors as Alaskan Travel and Tourism Advisor. He was an active Fairbanks Rotarian, holding the offices of President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant of Arms and serving on the Board of Directors. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Winfield Weldon Sr. and Jane Malone Weldon of Charleston. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lynn DeRamus Weldon and his sister Kathleen Rogers of Atlanta. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
