A wonderful man passed from this earth Aug 16, 2017!
The things he loved most in life were: God, his Catholic faith, his family and his country in that order.
His immediate family: Nadine (wife of 58 yrs.), Pam (daughter), Tim (son-deceased) Shannon (son- Lt Col USAF (ret), Jacob and Josh (twin grandsons) Darby (his favorite granddaughter 2d Lt, USAF Nurse Corps)Kiera Lee (great granddaughter)
The 26 years we spent together as a U.S. Air Force Family…wonderful experiences!
His many world-wide friends. (Don was truly a people "person")….he found something good in everyone.
AND lets' NOT forget SPORTS OF ALL KINDS. He was from Omaha, Neb and starting center for Omaha University basketball team so much so he played for 5 years instead of the usual 4……SO…..naturally a BIG RED fan!!!
A large hole is left in our hearts and he will be missed so so much as Don, Dad, Pop, and "The Col".
He always said; "When I die, miss me, but let me go". May Don's soul rest in peace.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at St. Sylvester's at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery at 1:30 PM
