Donald Jansen

Donald J. Jansen 1927 - 2010 Donald J. Jansen went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 19, 2010. Don was born in Cincinnati, OH on July 2, 1927. He graduated from Highlands High School in Ft. Thomas, KY in 1945. Don attended the University of Kentucky and served in the United States Navy during WWII. He married the love of his life, Emma Jean, on November 28, 1998. Jean was a devoted wife and his constant companion. Their love and romance was an inspiration to all who knew them. The day prior to his passing he presented his loving wife with a rose marking the anniversary of their first date. In 2004, Don received his diploma in Theology from Liberty University. He was a member of the church of Christ and a 62 year member of IBEW. Don is survived by his wife and the love of his life Emma Jean; his children, Daryle, Don, Jannis, Julie, Anna, Ned and Christopher; his step-children, Gail, Jody, Vicki and Wayne; his sister Marion; brother, Gerald and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donations may be made to the building fund at Scenic Hills church of Christ. Visitation will be Monday, August 23 from 6 to 8 pm. with services to be held on Tuesday, August 24 at 12 noon at Rose Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery.
