David "Mike" Smith

     David Michael “Mike” Smith, 74, of Pensacola Beach, FL and formerly of Birmingham, AL, died on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in Gulf Breeze, FL. 

     Funeral services will be 2 pm, Friday, October 25, 2024, at Rose Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain David Stocker, officiating and Rose Lawn Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation Gulf Coast Chapter, 8891 Burning Tree Rd, Pensacola, FL 32514.

     David graduated from Glenn High School and attended both the University of Alabama and Auburn University. He worked in sales most of his life and most recently for the Russell Stover Candies Company. He retired in 2016. David had many hobbies to include swimming and shooting pool at the Sandshaker. He loved all animals and enjoyed feeding stray cats, even when traveling. David also enjoyed riding motorcycles. He also, loved traveling to his wife’s home country in Peru.

      David was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Martha Smith.

      Survivors include his wife, Zarda Smith; sons, Chris Smith, Matthew Smith, and Ryan Smith; granddaughter, Koral Smith; grandson, Sterling Smith.
