Cynthia Ward

January 23, 1926 — July 12, 2012

Cynthia V Ward 86, reunited with her loving husband Burvee, on July 12, 2012 just inside the Eastern Gate. Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia (Sam) Sanders, a son Edward Ward, beloved caretaker and special daughter-in-law, Linda Ward, grandchildren, Samuel Sanders, Elizabeth Sandifer, Belvin Ward, Sonya Bumgarner, and Tonya Ward, eight great-grandchildren. Sisters, Eva Gill, June Wheeler, Sylvia Stewart, brothers, Donald and John Nelson along with many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Pensacola where she faithfully served The Lord and loved every moment that she was there. She will be loved and missed by many friends whom she loved with all of her heart. The family would like to send a special thanks to Emerald Coast Hospice nurse, Linda Shipman and aide Pat Thomas for their loving care in her final days. A time of visitation will be held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held there on Friday at 12:00 PM with a visitation an hour prior to service. Interment will follow the service in Bagdad Historic Cemetery, Bagdad, Florida.
