Crista Dozier

Crista Ann Stewart Dozier passed away peacefully at home on Friday October 27, 2023. Crista was born on June 15, 1958 in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts to John and Barbara Stewart. She grew up in a military family and moved several times, ultimately landing her and her family in Gulf Breeze, FL.

She went on to graduate with honors from Gulf Breeze High School in 1976. She then attended Pensacola Junior College in the Dental Hygiene program and graduated in 1978. She worked as a Dental Hygienist in the Gulf Breeze and Pensacola areas for 42 years.

She was a longtime member of Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church where she was an elder, committee chairman and sang in the choir for many years. She married her husband Tom in December of 1977 and they have been a loving couple since.

Crista is survived by her husband Tom of 46 years and 3 children Ashley, Adam and Ross. She was also a grandmother of 9 grandchildren who affectionately called her “Winnie.” She is also survived by her siblings, Tim Stewart, Debbie Craul and Buddy Stewart. She is predeceased by her parents John and Barbara Stewart and her in-laws Bill and Dorothy Dozier.

Crista was a devout Christian, known for her kind and caring heart. If she was your friend, you were friends forever. A special thanks to my daughter Ashley for her loving care of mom. The family would also like to thank Dr. Drake and his staff, Gentiva Hospice and a very special thanks to Teresa Teel who was with us until she passed.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the memorial fund at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church, Gulf Breeze, FL.
