Corey Musick

May 30, 1977 — December 25, 2020

Penacola, Florida

Corey John Musick, 43, passed away sadly and unexpectedly on Friday, December 25, 2020. Corey was born on May 30, 1977 to Deanna (Theis) Musick and Lindell L. Musick in Mitchell, South Dakota.  Corey attended schools in Mitchell until the family moved to Pensacola, Florida. Corey proudly graduated from Tate High School in Cantonment, FL in 1996. Coreys most recent accomplishment was graduating from Mitchell Technical Institute and becoming a Certified Welder. He began work with Twin City Fans in Mitchell, SD.

Corey loved to laugh and make others laugh with him wherever he went. He loved growing up in Pensacola and spent his free time either on the beach or on the water boating with many friends and enjoying a cold one or two. Corey always had to have some good tunes playing to get everyone in the mood and he made sure it was loud enough so everyone could hear it!

Coreys passion for cars started at a young age being around the family business and attending auto auctions with his Dad. He shared that passion of fast cars with close friend Mike Hampton as well. They were always together and enjoyed taking trips with each other and being best of friends. The family is forever thankful for your love and friendship to our son and brother.

Corey loved his family and would call his close friends as family too! He loved people but always had a soft spot for animals, especially his own, and too numerious to mention, but loved so fondly.

Corey is survived by his mother, Deanna Musick of Mitchell; brother DeWayne (Sebastian) Musick of Sioux Falls, SD; sister Theresa (Jeff) Koch of Mitchell; brothers Ken (Cindy) Musick of Pensacola, FL; and Michael (Diane Wermers DuBois) Musick of Mitchell. Nieces and nephews Kassity (Tony) Schoenwald, Bo Koch, Adam (Katie) Musick, Maxwell Musick, Lauren Musick, and Alex Musick.

Corey was preceded in death by his father, Lindell L. Musick, wife, LeiLanie Andrus Musick, and son, Gavin Lindell Musick. Our love for them is endless and lets take comfort in knowing the Family is together again.
