"Chris" Padgett

John Christopher “Chris” Padgett, age 40, of Mary Esther, Florida, was called home unexpectedly on July 18, 2021.  He was born January 30, 1981, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to Donald and Marilyn Padgett.  Chris was a U.S. Army Veteran, an aspiring writer,and an accomplished woodworker.  Most of all he was a proud father who shared his love for chess with his son.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Maria Padgett.  Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Daniel Christopher Padgett; parents, Donald Neal Padgett and Marilyn Valencia Padgett; siblings, Sharon Lynn Redmond, David Nicholas Padgett, Brian Gilbert Padgett, Jeffrey Lee Padgett, and Angela Padgett (Brian Anthony) Daly; and a host of extended family and close friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm until the Prayer Service begins at 6:00pm, Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563.  Fr. John Kelly as celebrant.  The funeral cortege will line-up at 12:15pm, Monday, July 26, 2021, at Olive Baptist Church-Warrington Campus, 103 W. Winthrop Ave., Pensacola, FL 32563.  The cortege will depart at 12:30pm for Barrancas National Cemetery where the committal service will begin at 1:00pm.  Fr. Pete McLaughlin as celebrant.  Pallbearers will be Nick Padgett, Jeff Padgett, Brian Padgett and Brian Daly.
