Cheryl Shirey

Cheryl Lynn Peavy Shirey, born January 27, 1968, in Pensacola, Florida left this world on June 26th and is now with her father James T. Peavy, Jr. whom she loved and adored. After growing up in Gulf Breeze she met and married Patrick Shirey and had two wonderful sons. She was a loving and caring mother, daughter, sister and best friend and a devoted wife. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She will always be remembered for her smile, her laughter and her ability to make you feel you were special. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Patrick Shirey, her two sons, Christopher (Donja) and Max, along with her precious granddaughter Railyn. Her sisters, Janet Smith (John), and Samantha Peavy (Steve), nephews, Steven (Dana), Nick and Jansen and two nieces. She also leaves behind her mother Barbara Peavy, her grandmother Frances Didday, mother and father- in-law Donald and Pat Shirey, sisters -in-laws, Kim and Kelly Shirey, brother-in-law, Winn Shirey, numerous aunts, uncles and friends. A time of visitation will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral services starting at 7:00 PM. The family will later hold a private burial. "While we are sad and grieve that we have lost her, we are peaceful in knowing she is safe in Dad's arms."
