Charlene "Geezo" Cress was born on May 6, 1948 in Vicco, Ky. She entered Heavens gate on May 31, 2014. A devoted military wife, loving Mother, Mamaw, and Sister. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family. For her, family was everything, especially Gizmo, her beloved Yorkie whom she called her baby. Charlene is survived by her husband; Forester, daughters; Vanessa (Randy) Oakes, Kim (Derrick) Morley, Donna Smith and Crystal Smith, sons, Danny Smith, and Allen Cress, sisters; Abbiegail Brock, Brenda Caudill and Eva Eangle, brothers; Stanley Combs, Tony Combs, Cordell Combs and Pete Combs, Grandchildren; Amy Smith, Jacob Oakes, Madison Oakes, Caleb Morley, Cress Morley, Sherri Whitaker, Allison Hoskins, Holly Eversole and Brittany Oakes and great-grandchildren; Jayden Vause, Noah, James Tucker and Kyleigh. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, Gulf Breeze from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Rose Lawn with burial to follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me". A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands now rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
