Carol Douglas

Carol June Douglas, age 90, of Gulf Breeze, Florida passed away peacefully in her sleep August 16, 2022.  She was born on June 20, 1932, in Hilliard, Ohio to Mary Ellen and John Walker, where she resided until moving to Florida in 1960. Carol loved Florida and was a resident of Gulf Breeze area for 49 years.

She could light up a room with her beautiful dark hair and crystal blue eyes, and of course her sweet personality and wit, such a beautiful person inside and out.  Extremely passionate about the things she loved, Family, Football…Go Buckeyes; playing bridge with her friends or Video Poker at the casino and dancing, and what a dancer she was, she loved it!  And of course, conversations, she did love to talk, she is the only one I know that could talk the entire drive from Gulf Breeze to Ft. Lauderdale and not miss a beat! She had a zest for life and loved her family. Carol was very proud of her children and grandchildren and all their individual accomplishments.  Her favorite place was sitting underneath a coconut palm, looking at the water with a cold one in her hand, many songs have been written about Carol!

She was a loving wife to Frank W. Douglas for 59 years before he preceded her in death. She was also preceded by sister, Ramona Morley and three brothers, Jack Walker, Cub Walker, Buck Walker; Grandson Christopher Scott Douglas, and Great Grandson Jackson Douglas Camariotes.

She is survived by her children, Scott Douglas, Darlene Borgella, Lisa Douglas, Kathy Douglas & Sonny Hayes, Grandchildren Sam & Ryan Camariotes, Lindsay & Taylor Thompson (AKA Boyfriend) and Kelly Douglas Great grandchildren Campbell Camariotes, Madison Thompson and Eisley Crawford.

She will be greatly missed but never forgotten, goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again.
