Brent Beckstrom, Jr.

Brent Anderson Beckstrom, Jr., age 49, of Gulf Breeze, was called home October 23, 2021.  He was born August 24, 1972 in Oakland, California to Linda Diane Beckstrom, and the late Brent “Tiny” Anderson Beckstrom, Sr.  Brent graduated from Escambia High School in 1990, before joining the U.S. Navy.  During his tenure in the U.S. Navy, Brent worked as a boatswain’s mate and was a member of the All Navy Volleyball team who won gold in 2000.  After serving for 15 years in the Navy, Brent worked as a Civil Service Aircraft Attendant at NAS Pensacola.  He continued playing volleyball and shared his passion and dedication to the sport with local youth.  His talent as a volleyball trainer contributed to the success of Pensacola area volleyball programs and student athletes, many of whom went on to play at the college level.

Brent is preceded in death by his father, Brent “Tiny” Anderson Beckstrom, Sr.  Those left with fond memories are his mother, Linda Diane Beckstrom; siblings, James “Jimmy” Beckstrom (Kristie), Tony Beckstrom (Rose); children Brent Anderson Beckstrom III and Logyn Ann Sawyer; nieces and a nephew, a host of extended family, numerous student athletes, and many close friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until the memorial service begins at 6:00 pm, on Tuesday, November 02, 2021 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze FL 32563.  Rev.
