Coffeeman was a medic in the Army during the Korean War and served his country from December 1, 1950 to September 1, 1952. He was wounded during his time in the Army and felt he was undeserving of the Purple Heart. He introduced Royal Cup Coffee to the Northwest Florida area until he started his own company, Superior Coffee. He earned the nickname Coffeeman when he would visit his customers they would call out ‘Coffeeman’ as he entered the room and the name stuck. Bobby Honey 'Coffeeman’ was an integral part of the community. Among many other things he was a founding member of the first three Pensacola Mardi Gras parades, Pensacola Seafood Festival, July 4th Big Bang, The December Fest, The Save A Kidney Foundation, the Pensacola Motel Hotel Association and served as Deputy Sherriff of the Santa Rosa County Election Office. Coffeeman loved to spend his days hunting and fishing. His love of being in the woods parlayed itself into owning his own little piece of land in Rock Creek, Alabama -- the 'Camp’ as it was affectionately called by all who visited.
