Beverly J. Ishol passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019.
Beverly was born November 9, 1935 to Thomas and Beatrice Steele. She proudly claimed Pittsburgh, PA as her home town. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Don, to whom she was married for more than 45 years. She is survived by her sisters Marianne Zimmerle (Earl), Joanne Pauley (Jake); her brother Thomas Steele (Darlene); her brother-in-law, Dennis Ishol; and, numerous nieces and nephews.
In 1997, after retiring from United Airlines, Beverly and Don moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida from Alexandria, Virginia. Beverly’s interests in the community were myriad. She volunteered at Ft. Pickens, the Gulf Breeze Library, and the Pensacola Museum of Art. Her interest in history led her to work with the Gulf Breeze Historic society and as a docent in the Pensacola Historic District. Most notably she chaired the Christian Service Commission St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze and coordinated the parish’s commitment to Habitat for Humanity. She treasured the artistic life of the Panhandle and was a patron of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra and Pensacola Opera. A lifelong global traveler, she was looking forward to upcoming adventures in Ireland and the Easter Islands.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 11 o’clock in the morning at St. Ann Catholic Church, 100 Daniel Drive,Gulf Breeze. A reception will follow. Visitation for friends and family will be held at 10:30am.
