Barbara White

Barbara Van Horn White, 87, of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away peacefully on August 2, 2014. Barbara was born March 9, 1927 in Carbondale, PA to Frank and Dorothy Van Horn. After being raised in Carbondale she moved to Binghamton, NY. She was predeceased by her first husband, George J. OConnor in 1966. She married Norman J. White in 1968 and moved to Harrisburg, PA. They moved to Gulf Breeze, FL in 1980. Norman died in 2011. Barbara and Norman loved sailing, the beach, cruises, motor home trips and family cookouts at their home. Most of all, they loved their family. She was also predeceased by her parents and her sister, Jean Anderson. She is survived by her sister, Beth (Harry) Miller, her daughters, Kate Wilkes, Becky (Patrick) Grace and Wendy Offutt. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Becca (Jason) Restino Brady, Conor (Bri) Grace, Sarah Milligan and Kathleen (Jeff) Grace England. Barbara is survived by five great-grandchildren: Hudson and Harper Rose Brady, Finian and Declan Grace and John England. She also loved her many nieces and nephew. There will be a memorial service at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, August 9, 2014 in the Music Suite at the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, 75 Fairpoint Drive. A Celebration of Life will follow at La Brisa Restaurant, 51 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze. Arrangements entrusted to Rose Lawn Funeral Home.
