Aubrey Louis Gouner

Aubrey Louis Gouner, 83, of Navarre, Florida, died on April 27, 2022.

Aubrey was a true gentleman, born in Louisiana to the late May Galliot Gouner and Aubrey L. Gouner, Sr. He was the husband of Barbara Scott Gouner and father of Stephen, Christopher, Nicole (Stobbs), and Ashley (Alberty).  He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Thomas Gouner and a stepson, Timothy Fultz. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lynne Gouner Richarme; niece, Megan Richarme; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many cousins.

A graduate of the Louisiana State University, he spent his work life as an electrical engineer. A lifelong Catholic, he supported friends in the Habitat for Humanity building projects at St. Ann Parish, Gulf Breeze, Florida.  A lover of symphonic classical music, one of his great joys was to attend Pensacola Symphony, particularly their Mozart Madness performances.

A Memorial Mass will be held at a future date at St. Ann Catholic Church, Gulf Breeze, Florida.  Rose Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to thank Vitas Hospice of Niceville, Florida for their service during Aubrey’s illness.
