Arline Pettigrew of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully on September 27, 2013. She was born March 15, 1936 in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, the daughter of Helen and Oscar Peterson. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob and husband Jim. She is survived by her three children; Jim (Christina) Pettigrew, Mill Valley, CA, Kelli (Shayne) Routh, Gulf Breeze, FL and Linda Pettigrew, Santa Monica, CA; her grandchildren; Erin (Wright) Currie, Zoe Bennett, Ryan Routh, Seamus, Marley and Fiona Pettigrew, and her sisters Bernice Marriott, Carol Frattura and Linda Kolonsky. Arline graduated from Mount Vernon School of Nursing in 1957 and spent four decades working in the field of nursing. She had a passion for world cultures and lived abroad with her family in Mandeville, Jamaica and Barnstorf, Germany. She also hosted Japanese students with the Experiment in International Living. A highlight of Arline's travels was visiting her relatives in Minsk, Belarus. She was an accomplished quilter and award-winning watercolor artist. It was Arline's wishes to be laid to rest in Rose Lawn Cemetery with her husband Jim. A family memorial service will be held in New York.
