Arlene Beck

Arlene M. Beck, age 83, of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away on October 7, 2023. She was born in Buffalo, NY and left there “happily” at the age of 17. She met the true love of her life, Ray Beck, in Alaska. They were married, and for 52 years, he showed her an exhilarating life. At times so thrilling beyond words. They traveled, via the military, living in Asia, Europe, several different states and viewed places only dreamed of, while raising a family. After extensive travel, they finally settled in Florida.

The family’s bucket list was only half completed when they lost their only son, Ray, Jr. 35 years old, and then their beautiful daughter, Brenda Sue at 45 years old. Their pain was united at such an unreal loss. Ray held Arlene up through their pain and agony. But their children left them a precious gift of two grandchildren, Jasmine Arlene Bradley and Brenden Ray Beck. One from each life. As Arlene put it “How great is that?!!”

Arlene loved sunsets, sunrises, horses; “for their grace” art and laughter. She had so much joy in hearing people laugh. Arlene loved giving her paintings to anyone who asked for one, just to see the expression of happiness on their face.  

Survivors include a granddaughter, Jasmine, who was her guide, strength, and support during all the difficult times, and a grandson, Brenden. She also had many loved friends who comforted her; Bobbie, George, Betty, Pat, Molly, Jude, Carol, Gran, Martha, Tyna, and Chris.

Arlene said, “If you wish, cry a few tears, but listen carefully for my squeals of happiness as I hug my beloved husband and our children again, also my beautiful sister Donna. How wonderful is this???... HAPPY DANCE !!”
