Anne Oerting

Anne Katherine Bray Oerting, 85, of Gulf Breeze passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009, after a long struggle with alzheimers disease. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter "McKenzie". Anne was a lovely lady, adored by her husband of 60 years John Oerting, and her three children McKenzie, Richard and Dave. Anne was very talented. In 1957 she originated the name "Scenic Hills" for the Scenic Hills golf and Country Club. She was "Commodoress" of Pensacola Yacht Club in 1982, and the Gulf Yachting Association in 1990. Anne also served on several charitable volunteer associations and served as a volunteer worker for the Gulf Breeze Zoo. Through it all, she was a wonderful mother and wife. Anne is survived by her husband John Oerting; two chidren, Richard and David Oerting; a sister Rosemary Davis; daughter-in-law Lisa Oerting; grandson John Michael Oerting; sister-in-law Loulee Shaw; nephew Martin Baer, his wife Petra and a niece Beverly Winn. Funeral services will be held at 2:15 PM Monday, September 21, 2009 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home; visitation will be fifteen minutes prior to services.
