Amelia Spears

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Amelia Estelle (Millie) Keenan Spears of Pensacola, FL, who, was born, in Greenville, SC on November 21, 1952 and was known as: Millie, Wife, Mother, Nona, Sister, Aunt and Friend, left this earth suddenly on Saturday, September 14, 2013, to join the angels above. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Herman and Alma Edith Keenan, formerly of Gulf Breeze, FL, two sisters, Ida (Horace) Welchel formerly of Gaffney, SC and Bonnie (Gene) Jeter formerly of Red Level, AL, and a sister-in-law, Mary Keenan. Millie is survived by her husband, Joseph Spears, two daughters, Tonya (Patrick) Morgan and Joslyn Collinsworth-Meyer, stepdaughter, Heather Spears, eight grandchildren, Cody Collinsworth, Taylor Morgan, Nicolas Morgan, Spencer Collinsworth, Ashley Collinsworth, Paul Collinsworth, Tyler Hastings, and Braden Spears, three brothers, Kenneth (Sandy), Marshall (Patricia), and Leon Keenan and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Millie's life will be held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563, on Friday, September 20, 2013. A time of visitation with a viewing will be from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service officiated by Pastor Ron Lentine at 11:30. A procession to Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola will take place immediately after the service for a committal at 1:15 pm. A reception will be held following services at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, 5920 Lillian Hwy Pensacola, FL.
