Allison Andrew O'Daniel, Sr., 86, born November 22, 1924 in Pensacola, Florida passed away on Friday, April 26, 2011. He was in the Merchant Marines during World War II. After the war he went to work for L & N Railroad for a period of time, he went on from there to join Gulf Life Insurance Company. "AA" as he is known by his friends and family, spent the next 50 years in the real estate and building construction industry. He is survived by his three children, Andy O'Daniel (Brenda), Mike O'Daniel (Dale), and Becky Hand (Frank); five grandchildren, Michael (Tina), Shannon (Chris), Brett, Melissa (Rob), and Drew; nine great-grandchildren, Brosnan, Aidan, Mason, Philip, Harrison, Mia, Sarah, Ella, and Lily. "AA" enjoyed the outdoors; he was an avid golfer, loved mullet fishing and playing the piano. His favorite place was 19 acres on Blackwater Bay where he was known for his mullet fries and Georgia ice cream. He especially enjoyed Christmas cookouts at the 19 acres with his family. In lieu of flowers the donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5042 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32514. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze with visitation one hour prior.
