Alfredo C. Garza, Sr. of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away Tuesday April 29, 2014 at the age of 90. Mr. Garza was born in Midland County, Michigan in 1924, served in the US Army during World War II, was employed as a master tailor and fitter for 42 years and was a private consultant / business owner in the tailoring industry for an additional 9 years before retiring in 1986. He was united in marriage to Carmen Garza in December 1948 and they had four children. Prior to moving to Gulf Breeze in 1966 the family lived in Saginaw & Flint, MI and Baton Rouge, LA. Alfredo is survived by 3 sons and their wives, Alfred and Marsha Garza Jr. of Gulf Breeze, FL, Arthur and Carol Garza of Pensacola, FL, Robert and Betty Garza also of Gulf Breeze, FL, 9 grandchildren, Anthony E. Garza (Gulf Breeze, FL), Melissa A. Garza (Duluth, MN), Lisa M. Miller (Gulf Breeze, FL), Nikki & Herman Fernandez (Pensacola, FL), Paul E. Ledbetter (Pensacola, FL), Lisa Malamo (Pensacola, FL), and Cindy and Mack Roberts (Milton, FL), 13 great-grandchildren Carmen Zeta Garza, Anthony E. Garza, Jr., Alfred C. Garza, IV, Jackson A. Garza, Spencer and Airen Fernandez, Ashley and Kenny Vanase, Mitchell Resmondo, Dacotah Cheyenna, Perry and Amanda Ledbetter, Timothy and Jennifer Wetzel, Ira Roberts and Nickolas Malamo, 7 great-great grandchildren Michael Hall, Ava Vanase, Tommy and Sophia Wetzel, Trinity Leto, Lucas and Brinn Roberts also many more loving family members. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Carmen, his parents, 6 brothers, 1 sister, his daughter Linda A. Garza and his grandson Alfred C. Garza III. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all. The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 PM, Monday May 5, 2014 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home on Hwy 98 in Gulf Breeze, FL. A private military graveside internment is scheduled for Tuesday May 6, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Baptist Hospital Foundation. The Garza family would like to take this opportunity to thank the physicians, nursing staff and caregivers at Baptist Manor for their dedication, support and deep compassion as it related to our father's care for the past two years. A special thank you to Jessie Camposagrado for all her assistance, support and love to our father and family during his stay at Baptist Manor.
