Mark Waghalter, 24, of Pensacola Beach, Florida went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2014 after a brave 18 month battle with testicular cancer. Born March 22, 1990 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he moved to Gulf Breeze at the age of 5 and attended Gulf Breeze schools. He then graduated from FSU with a degree in Finance. Mark also received his Florida real estate license in 2014 while battling cancer. Mark was loved dearly by so many. Described as a kind, genuine soul that always cared about the needs of others. He touched the lives of so many. Mark was a standout pitcher for the Gulf Breeze Dolphin Baseball team and played a short time at Pensacola State College before graduating from Florida State University. Mark is survived by his beautiful fiancé and soul mate, Candace Cheatwood. He is also survived by his parents, Sam and Sherlyn Lindsey Waghalter, his brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Cristina Waghalter, his sister, Caroline Waghalter, his grandparents, Irving and Edie Waghalter of Shreveport, LA, his grandparents, Buddy and Jeanell Lindsey of Baton Rouge, LA, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins that adored him. A celebration of Mark's life will be held at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church on Monday, November 10, 2014. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with the service at 1 p.m. Private interment will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery.
