Marilyn Hitpas

Marilyn Magdalene (Lowry) Hitpas was born in Story County, Iowa on Dec 31, 1924 to Thomas and Magdalene Lowry.

She was born at home on her parent's farm, and she was the 5th of 7 children. Eventually her parents moved to Peoria, IL where she met the love of her life, Henry Richard Hitpas. They were married in Feb of 1946 and enjoyed a 30 year career in the U.S. Navy. They had three sons, Henry, Craig, and Matthew.

In 1970 they retired to Gulf Breeze, FL where Marilyn was active in the Garden Club, Bridge Club, and Tennis Leagues. Marilyn and Hank were into health and fitness and enjoyed water sports, tennis, and biking. They biked and played tennis well into their late 70's.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Hank and her son Craig.

She is survived by her sons Hank and Matt, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She will be missed dearly.
