Dorothy A. Curry, 83, of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away at Gulf Breeze Hospital on November 13, 2018.
Dorothy was born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 25, 1935, the daughter of the late Frank and Stella (Bojarski) Pawlak.
She was raised in Niagara Falls and graduated from LaSalle High School in 1953. She worked at the Niagara Falls Waste Water Treatment Plant as an Administrative Assistant. Upon her retirement she moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida in 1995.
Dorothy loved being in the kitchen and always cooked and baked amazing goodies for family and friends. Dorothy was a volunteer at Gulf Breeze Hospital for a time and was a foster for Florabama Small Breed Rescue. She adopted three Chihuahuas that she adored.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband Clyde A Curry and two sons, Frank E Pietricone (Theresa) and Steve M. Pietricone. She is survived by one brother, Frank Pawlak, Jr (Barbara) of Niagara Falls, NY; daughter, Cathleen Gotthelf (Gary) of Gulf Breeze, FL and son John Pietricone of Navarre, FL. She has nine grandchildren: Steven Pietricone (Christina) of Las Vegas, NV, Dustin (Katie) Pietricone, Brandy Pietricone, Stacey Pietricone (Jesus), of Lockport, NY, Lindsay Pietricone, Brittany Pietricone of Niagara Falls, NY; Lauren Gotthelf and Chris Gotthelf of Denver, CO; Zachary Pietricone (Sarah) of N. Tonawanda, NY. She also has 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor the life of Dorothy will be held at a later date.
