Diana Printiss

Diana Lynne (Swenson) Printiss passed away at home in Gulf Breeze, FL on August 9th at the age of 55. She was preceded in death by her father, Dean Swenson, her maternal grandparents, Gerhard and Ruth Kittelson, and her paternal grandparents, Ernest and Mary Bell Swenson. Diana is survived by her loving husband, Fred of 32 years. She married Fred, her best friend, in Stoughton, Wisconsin on July 31, 1982. Diana is lovingly remembered by her mother Barbara and her husband Kenneth Spink. Her sister, Debra Ann Swenson, and daughters Lindsay and Melissa. Her sister Cynthia Renea (Swenson) Spink and her husband Chris, and their children Jamie and John. Her brother Jason Wayne Swenson, his wife Tricia, his son Jacob, and their daughter Lucy. Her step children, Fred Printiss Jr and his wife Jodi and son Colton, Paul Printiss and his wife Donna and their children Tommy and Olivia, David Printiss and his wife Angie and their daughter Genevieve. Diana was born in Madison, Wisconsin on August 23, 1958 and was born into a large family. Her mother was from a family of 14 brothers and sisters and her father was from a family of 21 brothers and sisters. She graduated from Stoughton High School in 1976 and worked as an Occupational Therapist. Diana fought courageously and defied the odds that her Doctors gave her, time, and time again. Regardless of what she was going through, her focus and concern was always on those around her and never herself. For such a small package, she was a true Warrior and rarely let on the depths of the suffering that her cancer and treatments brought her. She finished her fight with grace and composure at her home, just as she had hoped to. The visitation will be held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, on August 15, 2014, from 12-1:00 PM for family, and 1-2:00 PM for friends with a short memorial service to be held afterwards.
