Darnell Folks

Darnell Wesley David Folks was born to Steven Darnell Folks and Heather Storm Gares on May 19, 2013 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Darnell spent the first few months of his life in the neonatal unit. He went home with his family on July 10, 2013. He fulfilled his purpose on earth in these 16 months of life. He brought so much love and joy to his family and all who met him. He greeted each day with a smile. His favorite time of the day was bath time with Daddy. His Mommy called him her Sunshine. Darnell was dedicated to the Lord on his first birthday at Emerald Coast Worship Centre, followed by a birthday celebration with family and friends. He is survived by his father, Steven Darnell Folks and by his mother, Heather "Stormie" Gares of Navarre, FL; paternal grandparents Jim and Nadine Folks; maternal grandparents Wesley and Carol Gares of Navarre,FL.; maternal great-grandparents Rev. Lawrence and Jeane Forman of NJ. ; beloved aunt Jamie Folks of Lakeland, FL; aunt and uncle Sandy and Steve Bast, and a host of other aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 13, 2014 at Emerald Coast Worship Centre in Mary Esther, FL with fellowship to follow. Pastor Charlie Anderson is officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Rose Lawn Funeral Home of Gulf Breeze.
