Nattie Galang Santos, age 84, was taken to the Kingdom of Heaven on April 16, 2018 at her home in Navarre, Florida, with her family and dear friends by her side. Nattie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Purisimo Buddie Santos, mother, Trinidad; father, Anastacio Roxas Galang; six siblings; “Apong” (grandson)Joshua Lee Santos, Steve Crain and Karen Lynn Lee.

She is survived by her sister, Fely; children Ed, Roger (Laurie), Tony (Chae), Joseph (Jennifer), Purisimo, Jr., Pete (Jennifer), Noel (Susan), and Jesse (Kim).

Nattie was born in Arayat Pampanga, Philippines on December 2, 1933. She was a devoted and adoring wife to Buddie, a 23-year U.S. Navy veteran, and a loving mother to 8 boys and many grand- and great-grandchildren. She was a woman of strong faith, a member of St. Mary’s Church of Fort Walton Beach and a part of the choir for 5 years.

Nattie enjoyed sewing, cooking, singing, watching wresting, playing bingo with friends and most of all enjoying her time with family. Her family and friends will forever miss her giggles and infectious smile, her silliness, her generous spirit, and the undeniable love she poured over her family and friends. Nattie has instilled her legacy of great strength and compassion in her sons.

We will hold dear to our hearts her unwavering strength, light and love for her family.

We will honor and celebrate the life of Nattie Santos with a visitation and viewing from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, Funeral Service will be at 9:00 AM on Friday, April 20th at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, 2942 Gulf Breeze Hwy, Gulf Breeze, Florida. The funeral procession will depart at 10:00 AM to Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola Naval Air Station, for her committal and burial at 11:00 AM.

To honor her love for children, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to foundations for needy children in the Philippines or the United States.
